What the job involves
- Responsible for managing all operational projects and initiatives, ensuring we are moving at pace and delivering on strategic changes efficiently
- Working closely with key cross functional departments across the business to ensure operational change that impacts Payment Ops and Treasury Ops is delivered efficiently
- Understanding and owning stakeholder communication requirements per project
- Manage stakeholder communication for and on behalf of Operations
- Ensure we deliver on initiatives at pace, understanding the balance and potential compromises between quality and speed
- Drive completion of operational requirements, unblocking any potential issues
- Interpret project requirements into clear actions, driving their completion and unblocking any potential issues that may arise
- Ensure risks are identified, communicated and logged accordingly
- Attend project retrospectives and implement any changes to our processes
- Continuously develop understanding of payment, settlement and trading processes and system workflows, acting as a subject matter expert making sure adequate documentation is in place and stays up to date
- Liaise with Product Owners and Agile Delivery Managers weekly to organise operational resource requirements and time efficiently
- Escalate any risks or concerns to Operational Change Manager
- Strong relationships with business stakeholders
- Project plans outlining operational requirements, deliverables, timescales, resourcing etc
- Detailed blueprints and frameworks for projects that can be repurposed for quicker time to delivery
- Fast delivery on projects and initiatives
- Anticipate and avoid future changes ensuring we are standardising as we go
- Ability to understand complex operations and flows
- Seamless and frequent flow of information/communication with the rest of the company
- Reports to Operational Change Manager
