Role
Who you are
- 5 years of Project or Program Management experience
- Experience in the event planning industry
Desirable
- Project Management certification or CSCMP
- Experience with Asana and Google apps
- Understanding of event-related terminology
- Detail oriented with ability to think, plan, and execute on multiple projects in different phases simultaneously with little direct supervision
- Excellent visual, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to bring creative, non-standard, data-driven solutions to the table
What the job involves
- Implement project management plans for global, regional, and local event-related processes surrounding the customer journey and operational deliverables driving decisions and recommendations through data analysis; manage and execute on deliverables
- Utilize project and data management tools to identify any customer issues and immediate operational opportunities
- Develop and prepare project documentation which identify process improvement goals for individual event teams
- Coordinate, moderate, and execute both internal and cross-functional meetings, establish agendas, and identify action items
- Own projects that require process/organization/system change, from strategy through operational implementation

CEO Sundar Pichai has recently announced that Google is reducing its head count by about 12,000 to adapt to global economic conditions. It will move to refocus its talent and capital to the company's highest priorities.
