Role
Who you are
- Strong analytical thinking and quantitative skills with hands-on data manipulation & advanced SQL skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to translate business problems into analytical solutions
- Ability to work independently and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in A/B testing, designing and analysing experiments
- Experience working with data visualisation tools (Looker, PowerBI, Tableau etc.), building and owning automated data pipelines with tools like DBT/Airflow
- Experience working with technical and product teams (PMs, Engineers, Designers, Analysts…), and getting things done
Desirable
- Experience working with event data & tools (Mixpanel/Google Analytics/Amplitude etc)
- Knowledge of the FinTech ecosystem
- Knowledge of advanced scripting languages like Python/R
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Lead Product Analyst (Individual Contributor) to join the Onboarding squad focusing on the Consumer segment. The team’s main responsibility is to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new users from the moment they register with Wise until they successfully adopt our products and achieve their goal
- As a Lead Product Analyst, your mission will be to deeply understand the needs of our customers, identify where they struggle or drop off throughout the flows as they navigate the process of onboarding onto Wise for the first time, and partner with your cross-functional team (including PM, ENG, Design, etc.) to offer new experiences that unlock value for both users and Wise
- Your role will be to guide the team by providing data-driven insights and recommendations to drive product strategy and growth
- In this role, you will also have a unique opportunity to work across a horizontal team and collaborate with other domains within Onboarding, Regional, Product verticals, Servicing and more
- Derive actionable insights from data to inform product decisions, to help support and improve the onboarding experience to maximise adoption
- Evaluate high impact opportunities, find ways to support & accelerate or identify and advocate for better alternatives
- Partner with your product manager, engineers and designers throughout the product development lifecycle to build and iterate product changes based on your insights
- Build automated data pipelines and dashboards to minimise repetitive tasks and allow data self-serve
- Help your team understand their progress and communicate this outside of your team by defining and reporting on KPIs that measure what matters
- Be the primary point of contact for all data related questions on Consumer Onboarding and have full ownership of the domain

Our take
Wise started when the two founders realised they would be better off trading Estonian kroons for British pounds (and vice versa) between themselves rather than going through banks. That was back in 2011, and they've since grown Wise into one of Europe's most successful tech businesses, exchanging billions of currency every month.
Wise rapidly grew by solving a significant problem for customers, who lost too much money to banks when exchanging currency. Its attracted investment from some of the best investors in the world, from Andreesen Horowitz to Index Ventures and even Richard Branson.
While the market is crowded with new entrants (think Revolut and Monzo) and traditional banks trying to catch up, Wise is still staying one step ahead having recently opened a new hub in India and new payment features as well as reporting a rise in key metrics on higher volume and customer growth. This continued growth positions the company well for continued success in the future.
