Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of healthcare revenue cycle management, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, finance, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of successfully leading and optimizing revenue cycle operations
- Strong understanding of medical billing, coding, payor regulations, and healthcare finance
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using EHR and practice management systems
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
- Certification in revenue cycle management (e.g., CRCR, CPCO) is highly desirable

- The Director of Revenue Operations will be a key leader responsible for the strategic direction and operational execution of the entire revenue cycle
- This role will oversee all aspects of revenue generation, from patient access and registration to billing, coding, and collections
- This position will develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue, minimize denials, improve cash flow, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
- As the leader of our Revenue Operations team, you’ll drive strategy, optimize processes, and ensure end-to-end excellence across the revenue cycle
- This is a high-impact role where you’ll collaborate with senior leadership, lead a talented team, and use data and technology to improve financial performance and scalability
- Develop and execute strategic plans that align revenue cycle performance with company goals
- Oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle, from patient access and billing to collections and denials management
- Track key performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer guidelines
- Lead process improvement initiatives using best practices and methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma
- Leverage data to uncover trends, guide decisions, and communicate performance to senior leadership
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team with a focus on collaboration, accountability, and growth
- Manage payer relationships, resolve complex issues, and analyze reimbursement trends
- Optimize our use of EHR and practice management systems, and recommend new tools to drive efficiency

Demand for mental health services in the U.S. is soaring, yet therapeutic services are generally expensive, uniform, and hard to access for the majority of people. This is mainly due to the fact that most mental health practitioners don't accept insurance or work within a healthcare infrastructure.
SonderMind tackles the shortage of accessible mental health services by providing a digital network that matches the specific needs of patients with mental health specialists. What's more, the patient’s insurance coverage network is considered when determining a match, allowing users to find personalized therapeutic services that fit within their budget.
In addition to its therapy recommendation service, Sondermind also provides tools for therapy booking, organization, and billing. Ultimately, the startup has taken an interesting stance within the therapy landscape by focusing on providing personalized and easy-to-use booking services that are flexible within different budgets and insurance plans.
