Who you are
- You have some experience in a product or product-like role (PM, operations, design, engineering, or related)
- You think critically about customer problems and can break down ambiguity into structured decisions
- You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- You are comfortable with responsibility, autonomy, and the pace of a small team
- You value collaboration and can build trust with peers across functions
- Bonus: Experience or interest in industrial automation, robotics, hardware-software integration and understanding how physical systems impact product decisions

What the job involves
- We are looking for a Product Manager who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys working across disciplines, and helps drive clarity and progress on product decisions that matter
- Drive product discovery and delivery for initiatives spanning software and hardware
- Work with internal stakeholders to translate business and customer needs into clear problem statements. Help define outcomes, success metrics. Help maintain roadmaps, articulate trade-offs, and ensure alignment across cross-functional partners
- Work hands-on with UX, interaction flows, and functional behavior — thinking through how features fit together as a system
- Create and evolve functional specifications, workflows, and requirements that reduce ambiguity for engineering while remaining flexible
- Collaborate with engineers, designers to iterate prototypes, validate assumptions, and de-risk work early

In recent years, the field of robotics has brought to life ideas that once belonged to the world of sci-fi. But, robots are still extremely complex to program, making the automations they facilitate out of reach for many businesses.
Standard Bots is setting out to change this, with AI-powered robots and a complementary robotics platform that means they can be programmed through simple demonstrations. This approach should broaden the accessibility of robots to businesses of all sizes, enabling them to employ automations that can give them a competitive edge.
It's an intriguing proposition, and investors agree, with the company raising substantial funding to support its mission. Standard Bots plans to use these funds to expand its engineering team and speed up the development of its robots. The company will, however, likely need to contend with competition from inexpensive robots from China as it develops into the future.
