Role
Who you are
- The team is looking for a Senior Embedded Machine Learning Engineer
- The ideal candidate has a strong record of ML development and deployment in a commercial, applied context
- A BSc or MSc in a subject related to ML/Data Science/Statistics or relevant industry experience
- Previous experience of developing Embedded / TinyML AI Application
- At least 5+ years of hands on experience - delivering AI Solutions
- Experience with time series data/sensor data
- Familiarity with hardware AI accelerators architectures
- Problem-solving, goal-oriented attitude
- Python / numpy
- Scikit-learn
- TensorFlow/PyTorch or an alternative framework
- Python data visualisation
- C/C++
What the job involves
- Collaborating with a highly interdisciplinary team to deliver end-to-end (software and hardware) application-use cases
- Developing, deploying and maintaining ML pipelines
- Championing good development practices for robust, reproducible ML/Data Science tools and pipelines
- Analyzing, profiling and benchmarking of ML models and pipelines
- Pipeline and model optimization for e.g. latency, memory, power
- Providing insights based on explainable AI practices
- Leading the development of ML algorithms for application-use cases, their implementation in our software and on our hardware
- Extending Innatera's ML toolbox with new methodologies
- Identifying requirements and specifications for challenging customer use-cases
- Providing hardware development teams with insights on algorithm-requirements
- Contributing to the creation of IP (patents, knowhow)
Our take
Innatera is a company developing ultra-low-power neuromorphic AI chips for sensor technology. Essentially, this means it is trying to instil sensors with a human-like ability to perceive their surroundings, by mimicking the mechanisms that the brain uses for sensory perception.
Sensors powered by Innatera's tech should be able to enact real-time analysis of data to detect and identify embedded patterns. For example, they would be able to distinguish spoken words in audio data. This, of course, represents an impressive development and the next generation of sensors.
Another impressive feat is that Innatera's chips require very little power, which is why they can be employed at the sensor edge. With a myriad of potential applications, it's no surprise the company has raised substantial funding which will be used to accelerate its progress and drive further innovation.
