What the job involves
- Tecovas is looking for a Sales Support Specialist, Wholesale will support day-to-day operations by managing administrative tasks, coordinating customer communications, and supporting sales initiatives
- Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Wholesale Operations, you will be responsible for entering customer orders, troubleshooting customer issues, and facilitating smooth interactions between customers and operations
- Act as the day-to-day point of contact for Wholesale (WHSL) partners
- Respond to inquiries, provide updates, and handle requests in a timely, professional manner
- Identify and escalate trends in customer requests and gaps to help drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with Order Management to ensure accounts are informed of issues with orders, including delays, shortages, or other impacts
- Maintain accurate data in systems to support the onboarding of new WHSL accounts. Includes requesting documentation, maintaining clear account information, and training accounts on B2B platform
- Support the WHSL Sales team with seasonal order submissions, linesheet distribution, pricing, and product info
- Manually enter orders as provided by accounts in various forms
- Maintain excellence in customer service and order entry practices
- Execute RMAs
- Coordinate response to billing issues
- Monitor and maintain MAP Policy
- Execute data entry as needed for new customer platforms and systems

Our take
Cowboy boots are timeless - an icon of American fashion that has endured through the ages. But Tecovas aims to bring them into the 21st Century with an online retail model that doesn’t skimp on quality.
Its boots are traditionally made at a veteran boot factory in Léon, Mexico, with over 200 steps in the process, but Tecovas’ straight-to-consumer model allows the company to bypass middle-party retailers and knock nearly $100 off the average price points of their boots.
It’s the first company to offer this sort of model for this product, and has upended a billion-dollar industry in doing so. Its initial success has helped it to open 13 physical stores in Texas, the state with the biggest market for cowboy boots. But over 70% of Tecovas’s sales come from other states, allowing the company to essentially create new markets where other brands that only operated in brick-and-mortar stores are unable to compete.
