Our take

Maitroids' platform renders the need for a data scientist obsolete. It enables enterprises to deploy computer vision solutions by automating the process of analysing imagery data, leaving companies to free up employees who were previously completing tedious manual tasks.

Matroid has developed a partnerships program attracting heavyweights Oracle, HP, and Dell, distancing themselves from behemoths Facebook and Alphabet, who have their own machine vision software divisions. The accessibility of its platform is what makes it so appealing to clients.

Led by Stanford professor and machine learning expert Reza Zadeh, the company launched its first computer vision product in 2017. Fast forward to Oct 2020 and Maitroid garnered $20m in Series B funding led by Energize Ventures. This finance has been used to accelerate product development and go-to-market expansion in manufacturing as well as the video security market.
