Who you are
- You are an expert at design strategy, managing projects, and have exceptional craft.
- You generate ideas based on a product requirements document (PRD) or brief, sketching those ideas and bringing out of the box solutions to life digitally.
- You are extremely passionate about the user experience and are unwavering in advocating for our customers
- Bachelor's degree preferred, with multidisciplinary background such as psychology, computer science, information sciences, human/computer interface design or commerce/business
- Experienced, innovative and forward-thinking designer who can demonstrate leadership of medium-scale projects from concept to completion—approach, design strategy, systems, and implementation
- Experience creating, managing, and delivering design systems and tokens with engineers
- Proven interpersonal skills, stakeholder relation skills, and ability to work in a team environment
- Strong storytelling with excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills
- High proficiency in the use of tools such as Figma and Principle as well as Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, and Google Slides
- Minimum 7-8 years of experience in a product design, user experience, or equivalent role
- Experience creating, managing, and delivering design systems and complex products with development partners
What the job involves
- As a Staff Product Designer, you will help ensure quality of our platforms by combining a love for systems, a strategic mindset, and design skills across both UX and Visual to deliver stellar customer experiences across our digital platforms.
- This role reports to the Global Director of Product Design and is based out of our London, UK HQ office
- Lead product development process end to end, shaping the design and business strategy from initial concept through shipping and beyond
- Design holistic systems, flows, and interfaces that are simple, elegant, and beautiful and produce detailed wireframes, visual compositions, and prototypes
- Visualize and verbalize complex ideas, rationalizing solutions to team and stakeholders, and help continue the process moving forward
- Manage multiple project timelines and size and estimate new design work
- Partner with fellow designers, product managers, and engineers to identify customer pain points, develop robust and efficient solutions, and to bring them seamlessly to life in the real app experience
- Manage our design system and execute on new feature development across our digital platforms

Blank Street wants to serve coffee cheaper than Starbucks but tastier than Dunkin’ Donuts – its main competitors – and has done so with automation, specifically Eversys espresso makers that can produce 700 drinks an hour.

This brand is certainly making its mark as its growth has remained at an impressive rate, especially following its entrance into the thriving coffee shop market in the UK.
