- 7+ years of experience in visual design, with a strong portfolio spanning digital, campaign, and brand work
- In-house experience required; agency experience is a plus
- Strategic mindset with a passion for bringing brand strategy to life through design, art direction and video
- Exceptional craft with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to pixel-perfect execution
- Full design process experience—from strategy and concepting to execution and QA
- Process leadership experience in establishing workflows, design systems, and team practices
- Mentorship capabilities with experience guiding and developing junior design talent
- Cross-functional collaboration skills with proven ability to work effectively with Growth, Product and Marketing partners
What the job involves
- Grow Therapy is looking for a Staff Visual Designer to join our Brand Team. In this role, you’ll bring world-class visual storytelling to life across every touchpoint—from our website and social channels to integrated campaigns, photoshoots, and video
- You’re a strategic, detail-obsessed designer with impeccable taste, a sharp eye for craft, and a passion for building emotionally resonant work that moves people
- Lead concept development and design execution across a range of brand touchpoints:
- Web, email, social, and paid media
- Evergreen brand and marketing assets
- Campaigns, launches, and moments
- Photoshoots and video production
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with growth partners, product designers, and other creatives to bring cohesive ideas to life
- Senior-level ownership with the autonomy to drive major brand initiatives and influence company-wide design decisions
- Strategic leadership within the brand organization, helping to shape team culture and design standards; fostering an environment of feedback and collaboration
- Champion design excellence as we evolve the brand, ensuring every touchpoint meets the highest quality standards; set a high bar for design quality on the brand team
Our take
Mental health issues affect about 20% of Americans, so there’s an immense need for qualified mental healthcare in the US. However the vast majority of therapists don’t accept insurance due to the prohibitive administrative workload involved. This leaves therapy out of reach for many Americans. So it’s no surprise that the Grow Therapy platform has seen skyrocketing popularity since it was founded in 2020.
Grow Therapy helps therapists open their own in-network practices, providing the technology, support, and resources to tackle the extra operational workload that would allow them to take insurance. It’s live across a number of states, and works in partnership with all the major insurance payers including Humana, Aetna and Cigna.
The company is competing with larger rivals like Alma and Quartet Health, but this should be a big enough market for several major participants. Grow has secured good funding that supported the launch of its enhanced measurement-informed care system, which will help improve the care experience for clients and providers and make value-based behavioral care accessible for more patients.
