Who you are
- 5+ years direct Sales Engineering experience at a B2B SaaS company
- Management experience heading up a team of professionals
- Experience with Javascript and CSS/XPath queries
- Exposure to front-end test automation and/or CI/CD tools is a plus
- Passionate about working at a growing startup and learning new technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to successfully interact with clients and stakeholders across organizations
- Ability to recruit, ramp, lead and continuously coach people
- Strength in developing strategic plan and ability to define how the function can grow and expand as the customer base, use cases, and needs grow
What the job involves
- Sales Engineers are the technical voices of mabl's Sales team
- We help guide prospective users through their first experiences using the product, support them as they implement their test cases, and address any technical challenges they may face
- Recruit, hire and develop a team of world class Solutions Engineers
- Become a mabl product expert
- Function as a technical point of contact during strategic sales processes
- Be a point of escalation to resolve technical blockers during sales engagements
- Incorporate feedback from users back into mabl product roadmap
- Interface with champions and executives at enterprise accounts portraying mabl’s technical expertise
- Represent mabl at various trade shows, meetups, and other events from time to time
Our take
The quickening pace of tech development over recent years has led to lengthy testing and code review backlogs. This is an issue for quality engineers, both in terms of operational efficacy and security. Mabl’s solution is to provide an accessible and integrated framework that allows more teams to carry out testing, more reliably, and at greater speed.
The gamut of testing mabl offers runs from API, to low-code, to auto-healing, to mobile. So it’s an impressively broad sweep, and it’s helped mabl land top-tier clients including Barracuda, jetBlue, and Stack Overflow. With more companies beginning to adopt automated testing tools, the market is expected to grow substantially, and with its stable position, mabl should be able to ride the swell.
Mabl will, however, need to stay ahead of the flurry of new competitors like Testim, Mesmer, and Virtuoso. It’s making smart steps to do so: with a number of recent achievements, including launching AI-powered, low-code mobile app testing. This is likely to prove appealing to the growing number of companies looking to streamline their mobile app testing processes.
