- Previous Credit Control experience
- The confidence to handle difficult conversations
- Excellent Excel or Google Sheets skills

- Preferably you'll have some payments-specific experience or a customer service background
- System experience Zendesk, Netsuite and Stripe Would be great, but fully training will be provided
What the job involves
- Making contact with customers whose payment is overdue and explaining their terms of credit – this requires excellent communications skills
- Working with dashboards
- Helping us identify future risks
- Using internal systems and processes to keep track of the customer journey and action accordingly
- Process refunds and payment plans via Stripe
- Working closely with other teams to better understand each customer's profile
- Working to adaptive KPIs
- Updating trackers and responding back to customer’s in a timely manner
- To be held accountable for the collections inbox and work efficiently through it to ensure customers get a swift response
- Help with all stages of the Dunnings process to passing the debtor to a 3rd party collection company
- Some understanding of IVA, DMP’s and Bankruptcies

Our take
Through the Cazoo platform customers are able to buy, finance or rent a used car online and have it delivered to their door within 48 hours. This is a big step change vs. other used car websites, where you often still have to travel 25+ miles to see and pick up your new car.
The UK used car market is worth over £50 billion per annum, so the potential for Cazoo is large. Cazoo argues the market will grow even more when it goes through digital transformation, which the company wants to drive.
While the market is large, there are a lot of established players, most notably Auto Trader. There are also new, well-financed startups like Heycar (backed by VW and Daimler), so the product will need to be a lot better to cut through the noise.
The CEO is a very experienced entrepreneur and used to taking on large incumbents, which should stand him in good stead. Alex introduced Zoopla to the market when Rightmove had a monopoly and managed to create a very successful company.
