Senior Mechanical Engineer, Flock Safety

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in Mechanical Design
• Experience Designing robust enclosures for industrial IoT and electromechanical devices
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
• Strong experience with injection molding and sheet metal fabrication
• Mechanical Engineering Fundamentals: Solid grasp of core principles (e.g., statics, dynamics, material science)
• Ability to design products that meet precise technical requirements and performance criteria

• Familiarize yourself with essential design software and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems
• Understand departmental conventions, workflows, and your key responsibilities

• Deliver CAD models and drawings of mechanical components and assemblies
• Deliver Bill of Materials (BOM) including all mechanical components
• Create manufacturing drawings and specifications for mechanical parts
• Conduct thorough analysis and testing to validate design choices and make necessary improvements
• 90 Days & Beyond
• Deliver physical prototypes for testing and validation
• Deliver test reports and data analysis documenting the performance, reliability, and safety of mechanical designs
• Create structural analysis reports to ensure mechanical integrity and durability
• Write detailed assembly instructions for integrating mechanical and electrical components
