Who you are
- The Strategic Track Record: 5+ years of professional experience in data analytics, with a significant portion spent navigating the fast-paced realities of B2B SaaS, transactional E-Commerce, or global Marketplaces
- Executive Partnership: Proven experience working directly alongside senior leadership or C-level stakeholders, demonstrating the professional maturity needed to challenge assumptions and drive cross-functional metric consensus
- Snowflake & SQL Mastery: Advanced, production-grade SQL skills with deep experience optimizing queries and structuring data logic natively within Snowflake
- Data Product Architecture: Strong understanding of dimensional modeling principles and modern BI tools (Metabase exposure is a massive plus). You know how data needs to look to power flawless, trusted reporting layers
- AI-Augmented Fluency: You already actively leverage AI coding assistants (like Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to accelerate your own SQL writing, documentation, and QA—possessing the sharp analytical judgment needed to spot hallucinations and validate code accuracy
- The "Data Product" Philosophy: You don’t just build dashboards to close tickets. You think things through to the absolute end, ensuring everything you build is beautifully documented, maintainable, and highly resilient
- Extreme Ownership & Communication: A natural communicator who can translate highly complex data structures into simple, actionable narratives for non-technical teams, holding yourself to an exceptional bar of data trust and quality
What the job involves
- Act as a Business Logic Architect: Partner directly with the CEO Office and Customer Operations leaders across our US and DACH markets. Extract tribal business rules from spreadsheets and Slack threads, transforming them into clearly defined, standardized metrics and documentation
- Own Source-of-Truth Products: Design, build, and maintain foundational dashboards in Metabase that serve as the ultimate operating rhythm for leadership. Ensure every asset you publish is treated like a robust product—comprehensive, reusable, and clearly highlighting any logical caveats
- Fuel AI-Driven Analytics: Enrich the semantic context and reliability of GotPhoto’s in-house AI analytics agent. Translate domain rules and metric definitions into structured assets so the agent can accurately execute self-serve analysis without spreading misaligned insights
- Raise the BI Chapter Bar: Serve as a senior technical beacon within the BI chapter. Mentor peer analysts, champion analytical rigor, and systematically turn repetitive ad-hoc ticket spikes into scalable, automated self-serve models
- Bridge the Data Ecosystem: Work collaboratively with the BI Chapter and the Data Platform team, translating complex business logic into clean structural requirements for upstream Snowflake performance and data engineering dependencies

Taking professional photos for events and schools is as much an exercise in administration as it is in photography, with a gruelling and largely manual workload of organising photos, taking payments and shipping out prints eating into a photographer's time. GotPhoto exists to make this process much easier, automating promotions, sales and fulfillment, freeing the photographer to focus on their core business.
Considered the leader in its market, GotPhoto has amassed a customer base of about 4000 small-medium business and sole trader clients across the UK, US and DACH regions. While the company has had strong growth in recent years it still has a large market to grow into, with a core market that grows year on year as more photographers look into automation for their businesses.
GotPhoto was acquired by EQT Growth in 2023, providing investment for the platform's development and the addition of new features. This sets up the company to be able to tap its parent's commercial connections as it aims to grow its lead in an estimated $5 billion market.
