Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate will have a working understanding of Power Conversion Systems, to include what determines their capabilties and limits from a hardware and software perspective
- Experience working with Supply Chain and procurement teams, specifically around PCS equipment
- Experience and knowledge of Agile development methods
- Proven ability to work across multiple teams and projects concurrently, in a technical business environment
- Ability to utilize data and statistical analyses to inform decisions
- Periodic time zone flexibility to support customers and colleagues across the world
- Ability to travel internationally (~5% of the time)
What the job involves
- Develop Fluence’s PCS product strategy to address the unique needs of Fluence’s different Regions (Americas, EMEA, APAC) and their customers
- Own Fluence’s multi-generational product plan (MGPP) and roadmap for its PCS options that include procurement and development. Collaborate with Fluence’s Supply Chain, Growth team, and Regional teams to ensure both the MGPP and roadmap are feasible and meet their needs
- Responsible for communicating the strategy, roadmap, and value propositions of Fluence’s PCS capabilities to both external and internal stakeholders
- Work with other Product Managers to account for PCS capabilities and limitations in their MGPPs and roadmaps
- Support the Regional sales teams by responding to customer PCS proposal questions and engaging with customers to clarify requirements
- Conducting competitor analysis and staying current with market trends and innovation in the PCS space
- Develop an understanding of PCS needs based on customer requirements, industry standards, and regional regulations and communicate those needs to the engineering team via requirements
- Gather, analyze and act on customer feedback to inform product enhancements and future product development
- Conduct product presentations to customers at industry events

Fluence's dove-tailed approach - which pairs cutting-edge hardware with its own top-of-the-line operating system and AI - seeks to address this problem by allowing customers to deploy energy storage faster and more cost effectively.
The result of a union between independent American power producer AES and Siemens, Europe's biggest industrial manufacturer, Fluence entered the market in 2017 with a bang, and it now boasts the world's largest deployed fleet of energy storage projects. Having established its presence in battery storage, the company has increasingly been moving into digital energy asset optimisation, including of renewable energy sources.
