Who you are
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Demonstrable skills in facilitating exciting and engaging training experiences
- An eye for detail and a focus on quality
- Demonstrable knowledge of best practice coaching techniques and quality frameworks
- Strong technical capabilities and experience with systems training
- Able to work as part of a wider team and independently with the ability to think on your feet
- Comfortable running classroom-style training as well digital workshops and 1:1 coaching
- Proficiency using learning managements systems and e-learning platforms
- Great at decision making, solving problems, and thinking on your feet. You'll be someone with a real 'Can Do' attitude
What the job involves
- We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Talent Development team at Cazoo. Working within the People team, you will be passionate about delivering an outstanding training and coaching experience
- As a Talent Development Specialist you will ensure our staff have the relevant resources and knowledge to be able to carry out their role and in turn delight our customers with an amazing car buying experience
- Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions for employees at all levels, both in-person and virtually
- Carry out regular coaching (both side by side and remote) with individuals across the business and work with line managers to support in the design and delivery of individual development plans
- Design and deliver skills development workshops
- Provide one-on-one coaching sessions to employees, focusing on skill enhancement and performance improvement
- Facilitate new starter induction courses across our customer facing teams
- Providing detailed and constructive feedback to delegates throughout their learning journey
- Utilise different coaching styles and techniques to develop a broad range of skills leveraging different channels e.g. video sessions, digital content
- Assess the effectiveness of training and development initiatives through evaluations, surveys, assessments, and feedback
- Analyse training outcomes to measure the impact on employee performance and organisational goals
- Comfortable running classroom-style training as well as virtual and digital workshops
- The role holder will be required to travel across our Cazoo sites in the UK
Salary benchmarks
Our take
Through the Cazoo platform customers are able to buy, finance or rent a used car online and have it delivered to their door within 48 hours. This is a big step change vs. other used car websites, where you often still have to travel 25+ miles to see and pick up your new car.
The UK used car market is worth over £50 billion per annum, so the potential for Cazoo is large. Cazoo argues the market will grow even more when it goes through digital transformation, which the company wants to drive.
While the market is large, there are a lot of established players, most notably Auto Trader. There are also new, well-financed startups like Heycar (backed by VW and Daimler), so the product will need to be a lot better to cut through the noise.
The CEO is a very experienced entrepreneur and used to taking on large incumbents, which should stand him in good stead. Alex introduced Zoopla to the market when Rightmove had a monopoly and managed to create a very successful company.
