What the job involves
- As a Senior Frontend Engineer within our Engineering team at Moonfare, you will be instrumental in translating complex private-market and regulatory logic (KYC, capital calls, eligibility rules) into clear, intuitive UIs
- You will lead and contribute to architectural decisions for building scalable, cross-platform components in close collaboration with frontend engineers
- Design and implement new features across web and native user interfaces
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code using modern frontend technologies
- Collaborate with product, design, business stakeholders, and backend teams to deliver seamless, high-quality user experiences
- Contribute to the core codebase and supporting infrastructure
- Participate in code reviews to uphold high engineering standards and best practices
- Optimize application performance, accessibility, and cross-platform compatibility
- Research and experiment with emerging technologies, frameworks, and development patterns
- Stay up to date with industry trends and introduce new ideas to enhance team efficiency and product quality
- Develop and maintain reusable, scalable UI components for our unified design system
- Ensure visual and functional consistency across web and native platforms, with a focus on accessibility
- Stay current with internal tools, technologies, and programming languages
- Share knowledge through documentation, peer learning, and collaborative sessions
- What Will Keep You Challenged?:
- Handling data-heavy views (dashboards, portfolios, fund comparisons) while keeping the app fast and responsive
- Integrating securely with backend and third-party services (auth, KYC, payments, e-signature) and managing failures gracefully
- Maintaining a consistent design system and UX across multiple products and legacy code, while shipping new features quickly
Our take
Many high-level investment opportunities are solely reserved for financial institutions. This means that top-tier equity funds are completely out of reach for most private investors. Moonfare solves this problem by giving individuals access to institution-level investing.
Moonfare's platform allows investors to participate in funding rounds offered by some of the biggest investing companies, including The Carlyle Group and Tiger Global. The company offers investment opportunities with investment minimums as low as €50,000, which is about 100x less than the traditional minimum. So, while not everyone can afford to make investments through the company, a much larger pool of people have the ability to enter private markets.
Moonfare is headed up by an impressive team of KKR, BlackRock, Amazon and J.P. Morgan alums, which adds significant credibility to its product. The platform has also grown considerably since launching and more recently partnered with Fundcraft to enhance its digital infrastructure, automate fund administration, KYC, and capital call processes. This integration enables eligible investors to register and invest directly online in minutes, an exciting feat which will surely catch the eye of many investors.
