Sales Manager, Sifted

• Experience leading a media sales team including content & events
• Preferably you have also had experience of BtoB subscription sales
• Although not a direct sales role must have experience in successful pitching of high value campaigns
• Understanding of strategy to build new business whilst maintaining strong customer retention
• Experience providing forecasts and managing team pipeline
• Able to effectively manage a team of varied experience - including coaching & team development
• Clear communications skills

Desirable

• Reporting to the Head of Commercial you will be key to the day to day success of our growing sales and account management team
• You will be responsible for ensuring best practice is maintained across our CRM, key data insights and effective reporting
• Own the sales number - Responsible for managing the business development and sales specialist team to deliver revenue targets across our varied platforms
• Contribute to the planning process - Input key insights and client feedback to the head of commercial which will help to create a clear 12 month strategic sales plan
• Lead and motivate our team of sales superstars- you will oversee the day to day operations of a high performing customer focused sales team- including , objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of the sales team
• Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts; identify and flag risk or opportunity where appropriate
• Constantly monitor pipeline and pipeline metrics with sales staff to ensure sales efficiency and optimisation of resource and effort
• Through regularIdentify areas of improvement and provide support & coaching to ensure successful achievement of targets holding regular 1 to 1 and team meetings
• Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships
• Develop a deep understanding of the Sifted business, market and ecosystem and attend regular calls with team members
• Ensure sales and operational excellence across the sales team to give sales people the best chance at meeting revenue (booked and delivered) targets
• Ensure up to date, consistent and accurate record keeping and CRM hygiene across the sales team
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across Sifted to ensure success; regularly communicate across the business to share success
• Be a Sifted brand ambassador and be responsible for ensuring our core values are always adhered to
• Work with the sales leadership team to provide insight into wider market needs and best product fit
