Role
Who you are
- Are you the Indiana Jones of data, with a passion for uncovering the hidden treasures that drive business success?
- We're on the lookout for a Senior Research Analyst who’s experienced in the craft of research
- If you thrive on navigating the dense jungles of data and turning your discoveries into strategies that make an impact, then this is your moment to shine
- 5+ years of experience as a research analyst or in a similar analytical role
- Track record of delivering research projects with significant, measurable business outcomes
- Experience formulating hypotheses and designing experiments, including T-tests, Chi-Square, ANOVA, A/B testing, matched pairs, etc
- Skilled in analyzing and generating insights from diverse data sets, such as transactional data, survey data, and unstructured text data. Familiarity with industry-specific data sources and APIs is a plus
- Proficiency in SQL and Python or R for data extraction, transformation, cleaning, and analysis
- Experience conducting Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to identify patterns and anomalies within large datasets
- Strong knowledge of statistical methods and the ability to apply them effectively, including regression, time series, non-parametric analysis, clustering, Bayesian inference, etc
- Ability to synthesize research findings and craft compelling narratives
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, earning their trust through frequent communication and consistently high-quality deliverables

- Conduct research initiatives, leading critical aspects such as design and delivery, and ensuring alignment with business goals
- Define research objectives, methodologies, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with the Research Analytics Team and stakeholders
- Drive collaboration and communication among team members to achieve project milestones and deliverables
- Develop data-driven hypotheses and design experiments to test them, contributing to the company’s understanding of key business drivers
- Explore and apply new data sources, tools, and methodologies to improve the team’s research capabilities
- Apply your fresh perspective, curiosity, and analytical thinking to uncover new research opportunities that contribute to the business’s success
- Translate research findings into clear, actionable insights and prescribe recommendations that influence strategic decision-making
- Partner with stakeholders to implement research-driven solutions and track KPIs to measure their impact
- Serve as a key technical resource within the Research Analytics team, sharing knowledge and best practices
- Stay updated on emerging trends in analytics and research, and share insights with the team to foster a culture of continuous learning
- Contribute to the improvement of team processes and methodologies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality research outputs

Our take
Young people are increasingly turning away from traditional media, and gaming has in recent years become a professional spectator sport that draws huge online crowds. FACEIT is a competitive gaming platform that allows developers to run their own online tournaments, providing ranking charts, skill-based matchmaking and anti-cheat software to ensure that these events are as fair as any traditional sporting competition.
The esports market is projected to be worth about £4.5 billion globally by 2030, and FACEIT has attracted large scale investments as it continues to innovate in this market. Not all of its moves have panned out - for instance its foray into crypto gaming in 2022 could have come at a better time, but its pivot to non-intrusive in-game advertising has been well received by developers and is a testament to the adaptability of the company.
FACEIT is continuing to release and support new gaming products, for instance a car racing tournament released in colloboration with RENNSPORT, where established esports teams and car manufacturers will compete for a prize pool of €500,000. An Overwatch tournament launched in 2024 with a cash prize pool of $170,000. As the esports market shows no sign of slowing down, FACEIT will remain in a strong position to grow alongside it.
