What the job involves
- The People & Org Development Manager will partner closely with the Head of People to design, implement, and scale solutions that enable Imprint’s team to perform at its highest potential
- This role applies three core skills—solving the right problems, driving business value, and communicating with intention—to a variety of organizational challenges and strategic initiatives
- From optimizing hiring and onboarding to developing data-driven people programs, this person will help shape the systems and culture that allow Imprint’s business and people to thrive
- Design and implement scalable people programs — Develop and execute initiatives such as onboarding, performance management, and career development that strengthen organizational effectiveness and align with business goals
- Partner on organizational strategy and design — Collaborate with the Head of People and business leaders to diagnose organizational challenges, identify root causes, and design structures, processes, and systems that enable high performance
- Leverage data to drive decisions — Establish and analyze people metrics to measure impact, identify trends, and inform priorities for talent development, engagement, and retention
- Optimize talent processes — Continuously improve key people processes—such as hiring, onboarding, and feedback cycles—to ensure they are efficient and aligned with Imprint’s values and growth objectives
- Foster effective communication and change management — Lead intentional communication and change efforts that ensure clarity, alignment, and engagement across the organization as new programs and systems are introduced
Our take
These days, all sorts of cards abound, from virtual cards to co-branded credit cards. Imprint aims to stand out in the increasingly crowded space by partnering with businesses to provide branded rewards cards for customers.
While there has been an increase in the number of companies offering branded financial products to reduce costs, Imprint sees its card programs as offering a new platform for deepening customer relationships: less of the nastiness of credit and a much greater focus on rewards.
The startup is focusing on refining its embedded finance solution to fulfil its vision of an Apple-pay like experience for merchants and consumers.
Imprint will hope that its lightweight service, fit for smaller customers like hotel chains, will allow it to compete with the major venture-backed players in the space like Cardless, Apto and Alviere. Its $75 million in venture capital raised in 2023 will go some way towards achieving these aims.
