  • You are comfortable with ambiguity, and willing to go the extra mile and “get your hands dirty” to get the job done - Multiverse is just setting up core operating processes, and it’s likely you’ll have the opportunity to chart the best path forward rather than rely on a playbook
  • Adept at creating clarity. Skilled communicator, able to present both verbally and in writing, and deal tactfully with a diverse array of stakeholders. Experience delivering clear and concise recommendations and updates to leadership team(s)
  • You have experience managing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence

  • As Senior Manager of Strategy and Operations, reporting to the Director of Performance Operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our apprenticeship delivery organisation runs smoothly and effectively
  • This role is a strategic leadership position, closely resembling a Chief of Staff function, where you will provide operational and strategic support across the delivery organisation
  • You will manage and run all communication within the Operations organisation, including all-hands meetings, and provide reports to leadership
  • You’ll drive the strategic planning process, oversee financial management, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives and key results (OKRs)
  • Additionally, you will have the opportunity to support various transformational initiatives, manage business reviews, and guide strategic projects that will be key to delivering on Multiverse’s mission
  • Apply top-down strategic thinking to complex, ambiguous and unfamiliar problems and translate into pragmatic solutions and / or proposed path forward
  • Manage stakeholders and content creation for communication and strategy to bring the organisation along as transformation occurs, including leading all-hands meetings, preparing reports, and managing updates to leadership
  • Develop, track, and report on the organisation’s OKRs and KPIs, ensuring that strategic objectives are met across the delivery function
  • Lead and manage the quarterly and monthly business review process, ensuring insights are provided to drive future growth and performance
  • Support strategic planning cycles, including creating timelines, setting priorities, and aligning resources across the organisation
  • Partner with the Finance BP to drive the bottoms up budgeting processes and conduct scenario analysis, providing financial insights to guide margin improvement and business decisions
  • Create, manage and improve operations wide processes such as OKR management, templates such as intake forms and SOPs
  • Partner with product teams to align Operations, Data & Insights and Product roadmaps and support in trade-off decisions where necessary
  • Be a positive people leader, mentor team members serving in first-time operating roles and build trust and relationships across the organisation
  • Drive well researched for high return on investment recommendations on all pivotal decisions required to meet transformation goals

Our take

In today's tech-driven workplace, skills like digital marketing, software engineering, product design, and data analysis are pivotal. Traditional pathways to acquiring these skills are evolving, with coding schools like Makers Academy challenging the necessity of a formal Computer Science degree.

Recognizing the need for inclusive pathways, apprenticeships have gained prominence, spurred by government mandates like the 2016 levy. Multiverse (formerly WhiteHat) exemplifies this shift, offering opportunities for all to reskill and thrive in the tech industry.

Embracing a mission of accessibility and innovation, Multiverse's recent strategic moves, including acquiring Californian AI firm, Searchlight and attracting top-tier talent, underscores its commitment to excellence. Partnering with industry giants like Google and Facebook, Multiverse is driving transformative change, democratizing access to tech education.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Multiverse

Serena Vaughan (Career Mobility Lead)

  • We want to be a leader in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), so we’re working hard to drive the change we want to see in the world, inside Multiverse.
  • Everything we do in the DEI space is undertaken with the goal of being representative of the geographies in which we operate – and our apprentice community. Gender diversity has been a long-term challenge for the tech world. We're proud that 55% of our UK Team identify as women, this increases to 64% of our Global Leadership Team (director level and above). We're also proud of our thriving LGBTQQIAAP community, comprising 11% of our UK Team.
  • We're committed to improving the diversity of our workforce, at all levels. We continue to invest in early talent through our in-house apprenticeship scheme – something we know is a fantastic route into our organization for exceptional talent from a diversity of backgrounds.
  • Last year we identified improving the diversity of our Global Leadership Team (director level+) internally as an area of focus. Steps that we took included introducing robust DEI monitoring processes, rolling out Inclusive Recruitment Training to all staff involved in the hiring, and launching our first internal, Global Leadership Accelerator program.
  • We’re proud that in the last 12 months, the representation of colleagues from ethnic minority backgrounds at director+ levels, globally, has increased from 6% to 19%. This is good progress but we still have work to do and are committed to building a leadership team that is representative of our colleagues and of the communities we serve.
