Senior Staff Slack Front End Infrastructure Software Engineer, Salesforce

• Extensive experience with JavaScript and TypeScript in large-scale applications

• We’re seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to help lead the next generation of frontend architecture — improving performance, scalability, developer productivity, and reliability at scale
• As a technical leader on the team, you'll partner across product, platform, and infrastructure to guide architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and shape the direction of the frontend at Slack
• Lead cross-functional frontend initiatives to improve performance, scalability, resiliency, and developer productivity
• Design, maintain, and evolve core frontend modules — including Slack’s WebSocket infrastructure, boot process, Redux/React layers, logging, and alerting systems
• Drive key architectural decisions that adapt our frontend infrastructure to meet evolving product and platform needs
• Identify and resolve communication and alignment challenges across teams and stakeholders
• Represent and advocate for frontend technical strategy at an organizational level
