What the job involves
- You don’t need a resume full of sales experience. You need drive, a thick skin, and a genuine hunger to win. SchooLinks is one of Texas’s fastest-growing SaaS companies, and we’re looking for our next Business Development Representative, someone who wants to earn their way into a high-growth sales career starting now
- This isn’t just a job. It’s a structured launchpad. You’ll get weekly sales training from day one, a clear path to Account Executive roles, and a team that genuinely invests in your growth
- SchooLinks is the #1 college and career readiness platform in the country, partnering with school districts to help students figure out who they are and where they’re going. Our mission matters — and selling it is easier when you believe in it
- Your job is to open doors. You’ll be the first voice prospects hear from SchooLinks, and your goal is to spark conversations that turn into opportunities
- Own your territory: cold call and email school district prospects daily
- Research accounts, personalize outreach, and qualify inbound and outbound leads
- Schedule demos and hand warm opportunities off to Account Executives
- Maintain clean records in Salesforce so nothing falls through the cracks
- Hit (and beat) weekly and monthly activity targets
- Collaborate with marketing on campaigns that generate pipeline
- Stay sharp on product updates, pricing, and market trends
- You’ll be in our Austin office three days a week. For a role built on coaching, competition, and quick feedback loops, being in the room matters
- You’ll ramp faster sitting next to your manager and teammates than you ever would on a call and the energy of a sales floor is something you have to experience to understand
