Certified Bookkeeper (AIPB or equivalent) - advantage
5+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience in a Hi-Tech or multinational company - required

What the job involves

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team
. In this role, you will manage the day to day financial operations of our US and Canadian entities
You will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, driving process improvements and supporting our continued growth and scalability
This position can be based in our Chicago, Toronto or Austin office, working closely with our finance team in Israel
Manage Accounts Receivable - Issue invoices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Track and update customer project billing status and ensure timely collections
Process vendor invoices and manage Accounts Payable via Dokka and Mesh
Daily bank and credit card reconciliation
Process employee expense reports via Expensify
Ongoing reconciliation of employee accounts, covering expense reimbursements and leave adjustments (parental leave, unpaid leave, etc.)
Support full monthly end close processes (accrued expenses, Prepaid, fixed assets)
Perform intercompany reconciliations
Assist with annual audit processes and external reporting
Prepare ad-hoc working papers and financial analysis
Contribute to improving and scaling our financial processes as the company grows

Our take

Despite accounting for 13% of the world’s GDP, construction productivity continues to lag, only growing 1% in the past two decades. A large part of that story seems to be the disconnect between managers and on-site workers.

Buildots is attempting to tackle this element of construction management with a unique blend of artificial intelligence and hardware. For example, one of the startup’s flagship products image processing software from a fleet of hardhat-mounted 360-degree cameras.

The company had a very successful 2024, having raised substantial funding and launching its AI-driven Delay Forecast feature. These are big moves for the company and position it well for a future of continued success.
