Role
Who you are
- Experience exploring, analysing and visualising data
- Experience working with common deep learning architectures such as convolutional neural networks, recurrent networks and transformers
- Experience using TensorFlow, Jax, PyTorch or similar ML libraries
- Knowledge of linear algebra, calculus and statistics equivalent to at least first-year university coursework
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
What the job involves
- Research Engineers work alongside other developers and scientists on ambitious research projects. Research Engineers use their expertise in software design and programming along with their deep understanding of machine learning algorithms and architectures to drive the development and efficient computational implementation of new research ideas
- In this role you will be joining a team focused on advancing the state-of-the-art in general goal-achieving agents
- You will contribute to ambitious research projects by implementing new algorithms and infrastructure, conducting large-scale experiments, and analysing and communicating results. Our working environment fosters learning and development, so you will have the opportunity to take on more ambitious projects over time
- Implementing new or existing algorithms, designing and conducting experiments, and communicating the results and findings
- Designing, implementing and maintaining tools, libraries and frameworks to speed up research
- Working with others to improve team-wide and company-wide code quality through code reviews, pair programming and mentoring
- Staying up-to-date with the relevant scientific literature and technical developments
