Who you are
- You have previous experience with phone and email outreach, delivering sales pitches, conducting prospect research - preferably at an early stage company with little presence in the US!
- Strong communication skills are a must, as we’re looking for someone who can articulate the problem we're trying to solve in a bunch of different ways
- You’re someone who is energized by learning from others and welcomes feedback with open arms
- You’re not afraid to think of creative ways to build relationships and reach out to people to get them excited about Otta
- Rejections from companies you’re reaching out to can be pretty demotivating (but are par for the course), so we’re looking for someone who comfortably shrugs off rejection, and is able to ride through the lows to get to the highs!
- You have experience (or can easily adapt to) using CRM and sales automation software including track touchpoints, setting up and executing sequences and reporting and optimizing results
What the job involves
- You’ll be joining our US team as employee #5, responsible for building the number of companies we have on our platform, which in turn, will inspire them to hire better (we’re talking zero tolerance on ghosting, salary transparency on job ads, and championing diversity to attract the best talent)
- You’ll do that by generating, building and maintaining a healthy pipeline of companies that should be on Otta, and collaborate with the commercial team to bring creative tactics that can engage them
- This means you’ll need to identify key decision-makers, understand if they’re ready to commit, and what timelines we’re working with to qualify companies and generate sales-ready meetings for our Sales team to understand and uncover company needs
- And on top of all of that exciting stuff, you’ll build repeatable and scalable outreach sequences (we use Salesloft for this); and record and track all activity through Hubspot (our CRM tool) to figure out what’s working/not working and provide metrics to the team
Application process
- Exploratory call with Kiran, our People & Talent Lead, to discuss your experience, motivations, and answer your initial questions (30 mins)
- Mock pitch assignment, where David (US GM) and Raz (Sales Lead) will assess your ability to build rapport, communicate our value proposition, and set next steps with a prospect (45 mins)
- Final interview with David and Theo (Co-founder & COO) to discuss what you might bring to the role, and how you might embody our values at Otta (45 minutes)
