Senior Account Executive, Handshake

• We’re specifically looking for someone who thrives in earlier-stage go-to-market environments and is energized by building in ambiguity
• This is a hands-on, scrappy role for a seller who enjoys creating momentum from scratch—experimenting with new approaches, iterating quickly, and learning through action
• You’ll be excited by a product that behaves more like a talent marketplace or platform than a traditional, heavyweight enterprise SaaS tool, and you’ll bring curiosity and creativity to figuring out how to position and sell it effectively
• You’ll operate with a founder-like mindset, testing messaging, iterating on outreach strategies, and identifying repeatable motions that can scale
• 3-8 years of experience in revenue-facing roles within marketplaces, platforms, job boards, or B2B SaaS, with a preference for HR Tech
• Proven track record of selling products similar to LinkedIn, Indeed, or recruitment networks, with demonstrated success in start-up or scale-up environments
• Experience in selling to mid-market and enterprise clients, showcasing internal progression and a builder mindset
• Strong communication skills, with clarity and confidence in articulating value propositions and navigating complex sales cycles
• Motivation to thrive in an evolving GTM environment, with a willingness to engage in outbound prospecting and iterate on sales processes

• Operating remotely from London, you will leverage your expertise in sales and marketplaces to build meaningful relationships and drive revenue growth
• This role offers a unique opportunity to shape our sales strategy and establish Handshake as a leader in the region
• Rather than relying solely on established playbooks, you’ll help shape them—turning early wins into durable, scalable GTM strategies
• Drive revenue growth by identifying and closing new business opportunities within the EMEA region, achieving or exceeding quarterly and annual sales targets
• Build and nurture relationships with mid-market and enterprise clients, leveraging your network and industry knowledge to position Handshake as a trusted partner
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate new markets and verticals, collaborating closely with the US team for global expansion opportunities
• Lead the sales process from prospecting to negotiation and closing, ensuring a consultative approach that aligns with clients' needs
• Contribute to the evolution of sales strategies, providing insights and feedback to refine our go-to-market approach and drive continuous improvement
