- 3-6 years of experience working within finance in an accountancy firm, investment bank, or in industry
- Accountancy or finance qualification

What the job involves
- Sunsave is a new company that is scaling very fast and building a business that spans across B2C technology, solar and battery installation and consumer lending
- This is wide reaching and we are definitely not expecting you to have experience in all these areas but instead are looking for someone with strong finance fundamentals who has a desire to learn about different business models, is excited about our mission and wants to be part of building a company from an early stage
- The role of Senior Finance Manager will report directly into the Finance Director and the scope is somewhat flexible depending on the specific experience and interests of the successful candidate. You will be responsible for setting up and building core finance processes in the organisation as well as providing robust commercial support to the other business functions
- General areas of responsibility are listed below
- Financial and management reporting
- P&L and cash flow forecasting
- Setting-up and implementing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Setting-up and implementing costing and pricing processes
- Setting-up and implementing risk management and control procedures
- Supporting the business in key strategy decisions via modelling and strong business acumen
- Potential to be involved in Supply Chain, Procurement and HR activities

70% of people in the UK are interested in solar, and Sunsave's model removes the biggest barrier to adoption - the ~£10k typical upfront cost and long payback period - so customers can save on their energy bills from day one. They offer an all-in-one subscription that includes finance, installation, monitoring and maintenance, really helping customers get the most out of their systems
Already, the company has attracted the attention of blue-chip VC funds such as Norrsken, IPGL, the UK Department of Energy, and household name entrepreneurs, including Michael Spencer and Stuart Rose. Alongside this, they raised a £13M Series A in July 2025, alongside a £100M debt facility to scale their subscription model.
They plan to also expand into complementary products like EV chargers and heat pumps, alongside tariff optimisation and energy insight software. The eventual aim is to build the company's first decentralised home energy platform and revolutionise households' relationship with energy.
