Who you are
- Relevant Experience: At least 5 years of experience in marketing, advertising, consulting, or media sales, with a track record in customer acquisition and growth
- Strong Presentation Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill insights, incorporate feedback, and adapt strategies effectively
- Solution Oriented: strong understanding of the agency ecosystem with a mindset to develop solutions that solve agency partner business challenges
- Business Acumen: Strong business and financial understanding, including a nuanced understanding of the agency landscape, competitive dynamics, and growth drivers
- Collaborative Mindset: A collaborative approach and a history of influencing cross-functional teams to align on strategic initiatives
- Tech Familiarity: Familiarity with digital advertising technologies, platforms, and performance measurement methodologies
- Strategic Vision: The ability to articulate how you’ve driven growth through agencies and your vision for Smartly’s role in this area
- Hybrid Work spirit: The ability to work from our London Smartly office 3 days a week, as part of our hybrid structure
What the job involves
- As an Agency Partner at Smartly, you will lead some of our most strategic agency partnerships across the UK. You'll work with executive teams, operations, social teams, and activation specialists, helping to position Smartly as a preferred partner
- This role involves strategic collaboration, consultative selling, and cross-functional leadership. Success will be measured by agency growth, new revenue, and increased adoption of Smartly solutions by new clients
- Develop Growth Strategies: Create and execute a comprehensive agency growth strategy to increase spend and platform usage
- Identify Opportunities: Proactively identify, present, and close new client opportunities, expanding our reach
- Manage Commercials: Negotiate and manage commercial agreements that support mutual growth
- Foster Advocacy: Develop and deliver programs that build understanding and support for Smartly solutions within agencies
- Serve as Primary Contact: Act as the main point of contact for agency leadership, fostering long-term collaborative partnerships & relationships
- Present Solutions: Articulate Smartly's full suite of solutions, including media, intelligence, and creative offerings
- Collaborate with Partners: Maintain positive and productive relationships with our platform partners
- Develop strong partnerships with Direct Sales & Global Client Partner teams to maximize revenue
- Drive Revenue Growth: Achieve revenue growth through strategic agency partnerships, measured by increased sales, market share, and spend share
- Achieve Targets: Consistently meet or exceed sales targets, building a strong pipeline that leads to successful deal closures
- Strengthen Partnerships: Provide clear examples of partnership success, such as co-developing custom solutions or inspiring agency advocacy

Smartly.io helps advertisers automate their campaigns across the largest media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest. After seeing quick success following Facebook’s 2012 IPO, the company now works with over 700 brands including eBay, Uber, Ralph Lauren, Under Armour and TechStyle.
Its suite of tools automatically creates ads and videos from product images - handling budget allocation and audience targeting, as well as analysing where and when to purchase advertising. Consequently, Smartly.io has positioned itself to play a leading role in a market where brand and performance work are converging.
Smartly.io sold a majority stake to Providence Equity Partners in 2019 in a move to further its presence in the US. The company has since gone on to make several acquisitions of its own with Viralspace.ai and Ad-Lib.io. Smartly.io's ability to adapt to evolving advertising trends supports its continued growth, and its introduction of AI-powered intelligence across its platform shows it is keeping up with technology trends too.
