Role
Who you are
- 3-5+ years of experience managing senior analysts
- 2+ years working with healthcare data (clinical, billing, or both)
- Proven ability to lead analytics initiatives involving cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience in startups or scaling mid-sized businesses
- Technical skills:
- SQL (Advanced)
- BI/data visualization tools (Advanced)

What the job involves
- SmarterDx is seeking an experienced Data Analytics Manager to lead a team of seasoned Product Analysts embedded across our suite of solutions
- With Analysts integrated into different product teams, this role focuses heavily on driving consistency in how we use data to inform product discovery and evaluation of new feature development
- As an Analytics Manager, you'll be responsible for people leadership, stakeholder engagement, and process design, while also contributing to the broader analytics architecture and execution strategy
- You'll mentor your team, define best practices, and ensure analytics efforts are aligned with business goals across the organization

- Lead high-value analytics initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve business outcomes and aligning cross-functional teams on shared goals
- Standardize analytics tools and processes across product lines to improve scalability and consistency
- Prioritize and advocate for analytics work that aligns with strategic company objectives
- Communicate clearly and regularly with stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency in analyst-driven work
- 30% People Leadership & Team Development
- Cultivate a culture of innovation, curiosity, and initiative within the analytics team
- Mentor and support the career growth of your direct reports through regular feedback and coaching
- Assess team performance with structured, twice-a-year progress reviews
- Identify skills gaps or resourcing needs and escalate proactively
- 30% Analytics Strategy and Execution
- Champion analytics best practices and provide thought leadership across the organization
- Establish rigorous testing, validation, and data quality processes
- Oversee the development of metrics, dashboards, reports, and visualizations that drive business decisions
- Iterate and embrace continuous improvement in analytics methodologies
- Define and maintain data governance policies to ensure compliance and data integrity

With the aim of empowering healthcare providers to focus on patient care rather than paperwork, SmarterDX is an AI and data analysis company that builds an accurate and up-to-date picture of a patient’s healthcare story.
The company improves the accuracy, quality and value of healthcare data through a clinical AI that finds every discharge and data point, churning out up to 30,000 data points per patient. This use of clinical AI helps to increase provider effectiveness with a clearer and constantly updated picture of their patients - a task that would otherwise have to be done manually.
A number of startups have entered the AI-powered patient analytics space in recent years, all focused on the insurance-powered US market. However, none are as well-funded as SmarterDX, which was awarded $50 million in Series B in 2024 and further Growth Equity funding from New Mountain Capital in 2025. These rounds are being used to add new clinical and data integrations and expand its market share.
