Role
Who you are
- 5-10 progressive years of experience in HR, including 2-3 years of HRBP or HR leader experience for Tech teams
- Experience in demonstrating judgment and problem-solving skills about people and organizational issues; you have a creative, solutions-based mindset
- Practical experience with HRMS (Workday is a plus)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a good ability to build relations with employees and managers
- Strong organizational skills with business-oriented thinking and analytical mindset
- Full working proficiency in English & French

What the job involves
- As a Senior HRBP Tech, your main missions are to understand the business, its strategy, roadmap, and challenges well, with the ability to translate business needs into people's needs and anticipate change, but also to formulate and drive action (HR roadmap) for the organization through coaching, advisory, and targeted initiatives informed by data (organizational health & pulse tracking)
- You will report to the Lead HRBP and work with a team of 4 HRBPs
- Partner with people experts and managers in the organization to build & roll out People programs (including goals setting, performance evaluations, promo assessments, compensation reviews & bonus planning, etc)
- Assess and monitor organizational health and pulse (engagement survey + organization health metrics + ad-hoc feedback)
- Follow the organization’s effectiveness and drive development (incl. organization design, performance management, career pathing, targeted learning, development programs, etc)
- Identify and drive people roadmap for the organization
- Build and follow your organization’s staffing plan

Our take
Travelling can be an expensive process, with public transport and petrol costs forming a significant contribution towards this. Many people choose to purchase last-minute bus tickets or travel in carpools to minimize costs and carbon emissions, but these opportunities can be difficult to find and there is no framework to locate them and assess their legitimacy.
BlaBlaCar provides an online marketplace for connecting travelers with carpools and spare seats on buses in order to provide a budget alternative to traditional means of travel. Drivers can sign up to provide a carpool service, and BlaBlaCar verifies the identity and reviews of both carpool drivers and bus companies to ensure that the budget service is fully regulated.
Budget alternatives to traditional public transport and driving routes are nothing new, but BlaBlaCar has taken a unique approach by greatly minimizing costs and encouraging efficiency by providing a regulated framework for carpooling. Furthermore, the company provides last-minute and predetermined bus seats, reducing costs for users whilst preventing buses from travelling wastefully with empty seats. It's this unique business model which helped spring BlaBlaCar into profitability in 2022, and a 2024 debt funding round is being used to acquire other businesses and expand its reach.
