Role
Who you are
- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced social media marketer to join our team as a Social Media Marketing Manager
- This instrumental role on the growth team requires a creative, community-centric person who is able to drive the creation of memorable content and nurture positive community interactions on multiple platforms, while maintaining a clear path to achieving our business goals
- 3+ years of direct proven experience in a social media role with both a creative and community portfolio
- Naturally creative with a refined ability to identify and nurture compelling visual stories
- Comfortable taking risks, pushing ideas, and pivoting with urgency when needed
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, analytics, and best practices
- Strong understanding of content development and storytelling for various digital channels
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey ideas effectively
- Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms
What the job involves
- Content Development:
- Help manage a content calendar from planning and ideation through to publishing content that aligns with marketing initiatives, new product rollouts and social goals
- Concept and create social-first shareable content that reflects our voice and tone, sparks conversations, and captivates our audience across platforms
- Collaborate with internal creative teams to produce high-quality, engaging content that resonates with target audiences
- Manage social sweepstakes strategy, working closely with internal legal teams in rules management and winner notifications and prizes
- Community Nurturing:
- Engage with our social communities using on-brand dialogue to cultivate brand love and address any customer support concerns
- Initiate and maintain meaningful conversations within the social communities on both owned content, and earned content via social listening
- Identify and execute opportunities to surprise and delight our audience within the social ecosystem
- Reporting:
- Own reporting for social media platforms, pulling insights and actionable next steps from the data to guide social strategy
- Share wins and opportunities in various meetings to show the power of social in reaching Fetch’s and our partners goals
- Cross-Collaboration:
- Foster a culture of collaboration by working hand-in-hand with cross-functional teams to amplify our brand presence
- Drive cross-functional initiatives to maximize social media impact
Our take
Leading mobile shopping and loyalty platform Fetch has seen explosive success in recent years. Its concept is simple: users receive spendable points in exchange for scans of their shopping receipts.
The app has tens of millions of daily active users with even more downloads, and has seen impressive growth, having now reached 'unicorn' status twice over. This should come as no surprise. Brand reinforcement is crucial to customer retention and acquisition - but it is harder than ever, with the fragmentation of choice on the market and the declining efficacy of marketing. So material loyalty benefits are likely to prove a crucial tool in creating and leveraging a strong customer base.
Whilst Fetch faces competition from similar receipt-scan rewards platforms like ReceiptPal and Ibotta, it grew into a profitable company in late 2023. And its using its most recent Morgan Stanley-backed funding to aggressively add brand partners at a competitive pace and onboard staff at a level that promises strong continued growth.
