Role
Who you are
- You have 8+ years of experience in either a data or software engineering related field
- You have experience in Looker, Tableau or a similar BI tool
- You have experience building transformations in dbt and can fluently communicate with Analytics and Data Engineering
- You’re able to translate business needs into technical requirements for Data Science, Data Engineering and Analytics functions
- You have experience in a high-growth D2C and/or subscription business
- You have expert-level analytical skills and a proven track record of using data to drive customer-facing impact and business results
- You have strong SQL skills and a deep understanding of relational databases and how to leverage a wide-variety of data structures to drive insights and power customer-facing communications
- You are detail-oriented and proactive, you thrive as a self-starter and excel in managing multiple projects simultaneously
- You are an owner, have excellent problem-solving and communication (both written and verbal) skills and can prioritize tasks effectively
- You are able to build strong cross-functional relationships, effectively facilitate discussions and drive consensus
- You have experience leveraging data to drive strategic insights

What the job involves
- We’re looking for an experienced Analytics Lead to work holistically across our new product lines to deliver on our goal to transform unconditional love into uncomplicated care
- You’ll be responsible for synthesizing a wide-variety of data sources to identify opportunities to lead and scale customer acquisition efforts
- You’ll have the opportunity to take the foundation we have in place today and evolve it effectively with the business to ensure we continue to design seamless and deeply personalized experiences
- In the role, you’ll partner closely with teams across the business in Product, Engineering, CX, Operations, Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Data Scientists and other Analysts to build a best-in-class experiment design, insight generation engine
- This is an opportunity to take ownership of an area in the company that is ready for innovation in measurement strategy and analytics

- Lead the Analytics in the new products space on data infrastructure, reporting and analytics needs with focus on improving acquisition efforts, engagement and adoption
- Lead and grow a highly engaged, impactful Analytics group by providing career growth, support and effective feedback, ensuring executing for impact
- Define and execute the vision, roadmap and strategy for the New Products analytics group by establishing goals, making clear prioritization decisions and communicate to the stakeholders on progress towards analytical goals
- Dive deep in our data to uncover insights that allow us to methodically remove friction from the experience across key business areas
- Identify patterns hidden in our data and push the boundaries on insight generation and action by effectively connecting the dots across the business
- Build frameworks for rapid Experimentation design and analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business partners to gather business requirements and design scalable data architectures that meet analytics needs and support business goals

Pet food production in the US is held to alarmingly low safety and quality standards despite being a $99 billion industry, which is hidden behind loose labeling and marketing regulations. When one of the founders of The Farmer's Dog realised that dog food was making his dog sick, they decided that dogs shouldn't be fed anything that wouldn't pass legal requirements for humans.
The Farmer’s Dog produces customised dog food packages that are sent as a regular subscription service. Recipes behind the dog food are personalised and are comprised of natural and high-quality ingredients, aiming to meet the dietary requirements of each individual dog. As the dog food is human-grade, the company even taste-tests its recipes on humans.
The startup sends millions of meals every month and boasts a continual subscription rate of almost 50%. It has raised $50 million in funding to date and is developing new pet food products and scaling to offer its subscription service outside of the US.
