Role
Who you are
- 12+ years of Business Development/Partnerships/Consulting/Strategic Sales at an Enterprise software company or large GSI
- 6+ years of business development and partnership experience with or at a large GSI
- Proven success in establishing and driving partner initiatives and relationships with consulting/advisory, managed services, or large systems integrators
- Experience working with high-level executives at GSIs to achieve 7-figure+ deals
- Start-up experience or success in adapting to a rapidly changing, ambiguous start-up environment
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively both internally and externally
- Data-driven, with a drive to test, analyze, and optimize for short and long-term success
- Based in the US (New York or San Francisco preferable) and willing to travel to meet partners frequently

- Writer is the leading generative AI solution for enterprises, and we’ve built an incredibly deep partner ecosystem with Global System Integrators (GSIs) and Consultancies that's scaling globally
- The pairing of Writer’s best-in-class offerings plus the industry-leading services of the world’s best GSIs and consultancies are a perfect match for enterprises
- We’re looking for an experienced partner lead to join Writer and help us build our GSI and consultancies partnerships in North America
- This person will be responsible for developing the partnership from the ground up, building pipeline, driving partner enablement, and maximizing sales opportunities with our partners
- You'll collaborate closely with Enterprise Sales and Account Management to drive new logo and expansion revenue opportunities; and with marketing to build robust co-marketing strategies with our partners
- This role reports to our Head of Sales Partnerships
- Build relationships and buy-in at the highest executive levels at large GSIs and consultancies, and gain their commitment to a partnership with Writer
- Develop and drive GTM strategy with partners
- Navigate complex partner firms and drive widespread exposure and enablement across the firm
- Identify and develop new strategic partnerships for Writer
- Enable partners to accelerate the size and speed of enterprise-level agreements
- Contribute meaningfully to our larger GSI partner strategy
Our take
AI-assisted writing tools have taken off over recent years. With the likes of high-exposure company Grammarly accelerating adoption of such tools, a flurry of startups have appeared to offer their own takes. Writer’s angle is to leverage AI as a means of standardizing and scaling both content and communications for business teams. The tool offers autofilling and inline suggestions that keep content aligned with pre-determined company language and style guides.
This branded fine-tuning function distinguishes it from full copy-generation competitors, as well as from Grammarly itself, which is a more generalist copyediting tool. It subsequently caters to major enterprise clients looking to maintain standards across multiple and sprawling teams, and the company has managed to net major clients like Deloitte, Twitter, UiPath, and Accenture.
While AI-related buzz remains solidly around generative AIs like ChatGPT and Bard, Writer's narrow target market - in which it has already found success - supplies plenty of scope to grow, as AI copyediting tools look set to rapidly become content industry standard. With continued new launches and updates to its offerings as well as an impressive $100 million Series B awarded in 2023, the company is well-placed to seek further success into the future.
