Product Analyst, ZipRecruiter

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, computer science, statistics, or economics (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of product analytics experience (optional: in a product/engineering/tech environment)
• Experience designing experiments, testing, and utilizing statistical principles to inform business decisions
• Proficient in statistical computing and scripting languages such as Python, R, SQL

• As a Decision Scientist II on this team, you will collaborate with product management, engineering, and design to drive the development, prioritization, and planning of the product roadmap
• Specifically, you will apply the following quantitative tools to support better decision-making:
• Description: Utilize descriptive statistics to assess product performance, helping the team identify potential causes and solutions when performance metrics show unfavorable trends
• Experimentation: Serve as the end-to-end owner of hypothesis-driven experimentation for your product team, providing thorough analysis and delivering clear, actionable recommendations
• Inference: Perform statistical inference to enhance your team’s understanding of products and users, inferring causality in situations where testing isn’t feasible
