Senior Technical Program Manager, Nuro

• At least 7+ years of total working experience, 5+ years of experience in leading a project team preferably in the autonomous vehicle, robotics, aerospace, medical device or automotive industry
• Excellent communication skills, and an ability to build relationships and foster cross-functional collaboration between people and teams
• Mastery of project management tools and Agile methodologies

• Able to pivot quickly & work on the fly without losing sight of the big picture
• Need to be fearless in standing up and asking for what is needed, can’t be intimidated to fight for resources or revamp broken processes
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Aerospace Engineering, and/or equivalent technical experience or aptitude

Desirable

• Actively manage cross-functional collaboration between Systems Engineering, Software & Operations groups to drive project progress
• Coordinate between various teams to unblock issues, communicate needs and keep the project moving to ensure successful delivery
• Work with stakeholders to clarify requirements and bring feedback back to the team
• Partner with Tech Lead Managers from software and systems engineering teams to create roadmap and project plans
• Guide the planning and execution process of the engineering team
• Manage and track project status, identity and mitigate risks and raise resource allocation concerns to the Lead TPM
• Manage team priorities to ensure delivery of program goals
• Regularly communicate project status updates
• Summarize team progress to communicate the state of the project
• Help with decision making by concisely summarizing data regarding issues and project needs
• Respond tactically & be able to pivot quickly to escalations and changing priorities
• Demonstrate strong understanding of software development process
• Be able to translate & present technical information to non technical audiences
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills to address complex challenges and find effective solutions
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in Agile project management
• Ability to engage with stakeholders, understand their needs and ensure that deliverables meet or exceed expectations
