NFT virtual avatars are being used to express individual identity and status in the Metaverse and it's becoming common to spot them among social media platforms. While they are becoming popular and often sought after, there is also the benefit of pseudonymity, dubbed "the pseudonymous economy" by Hologram CEO Tong Pow. Many in the Metaverse seek anonymity and Hologram is providing the technology needed for people to express themselves freely while also protecting their personal information.
The company works with brands, online communities, and individuals to create unique identities to be used in the Metaverse. Founded in late 2021, Hologram already has received funding from several investment organisations and angel investors, including Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda. The startup plans to utilise the capital gained to make new key hires, such as engineers and artists. It is also looking to expand its partnerships with other digital communities and individuals looking to enter into the world of Web3.
