Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or customer-facing technical role
- 3+ years experience with vertical SaaS products/platforms
- Strong understanding of industry workflows and challenges in Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance vertical
- Experience selling to technical and business buyers - including executives
- Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner across all levels and teams
- Problem solver who thrives in a dynamic, high growth environment

What the job involves
- As a SaaS Solutions Consultant, you will partner with our Sales, Product, Data Science, and Customer Success teams to present Shift as the decisioning platform of choice, providing comprehensive business-driven, AI enabled solutions to prospective and existing clients
- Your technical expertise and communication skills will allow you uniquely to align and leverage resources to optimize our sales cycles
- In this role, you will partner closely with the Sales team to understand customer's challenges, present compelling product demonstrations, and craft solutions that showcase how Shift's products deliver real business value
- Analyze technical and business data to determine the ideal customer for a given product before its launch
- Conduct discovery sessions directly with prospective and existing clients to gather business and technology requirements
- Enable Sales and Account Management teams’ operational success by crafting pitches, as well as designing and presenting demos to decision-makers that speak to their specific pain points
- Participate in RFP/RFI responses, security questionnaires, and compliance documentation in an accurate and timely manner
- Assist in the creation of account configuration documentation and statements of work
- Participate in strategy meetings with Marketing teams and Product teams
- Successfully manage multiple prospect sales and existing client engagement opportunities simultaneously
- Develop a compelling business case to support the customer buying decision
- Maintain a deep understanding of the vertical’s regulatory landscape, business practices, and customer workflows (eg. SIU/Special Investigations Unit)

The global insurtech market is projected to grow substantially given the increased demand for insurance service digitisation, projected market expansion, and developments in technology that have made it easier to buy and process claims. Insurtech helps create new avenues that large insurance companies have less incentive to pursue, such as offering social insurance and customised policies for clients.
In January 2021, Shift Technology introduced the Shift Insurance Suite to help the insurance industry apply AI-based decision automation and optimisation technology solutions. This addresses critical processes across the insurance policy lifecycle, as well as helps insurers to achieve faster, more accurate claims and policy resolutions.
Shift Technology is focusing on continuous deployment in the UK and the US, whilst exploring opportunities in Singapore, as it attempts to become an international player in the market. However, it must stave off a number of major competitors to do so, including Quantemplate, Slice and Neos.
