- Demonstrable corporate treasury experience in an international group of companies

- Global cash management experience including bank account maintenance
- Extensive experience of electronic banking platforms
- Foreign currency trading including confirmations & settlement – Bloomberg experience required
- Experience of SAP as both ERP system and TMS
- Treasury Management System experience
- Investment of surplus cash to optimise returns
- Understanding of corporate debt including drawdowns
- Experience of intercompany loans and documentation
- Comfortable with developing bank and stakeholder relationships
What the job involves
- We are currently presenting an exciting opportunity for a Senior Treasury Analyst with demonstrable experience to join our Treasury team which sits within the Finance Division of Inmarsat’s business. As part of a small team there will opportunities to learn and develop across the breadth of corporate treasury activities as well as managing the Treasury Analyst
- To manage the Treasury Analyst, supporting them and enabling them to develop and succeed in their role and ensuring that their work is completed on a timely basis to the required high standard
- To manage, alongside the Treasury Analyst, the daily treasury operations of the Group which includes managing the Group’s cash on a day-to-day basis (in accordance with approved Group policies), placing deposits or drawing down funds from available facilities, weekly and monthly reporting on the Group’s cash and net debt position, FX spot, forward and swap trading and lending cash intra-group as and when required
- To provide holiday, sickness or any other cover for the Treasury Analyst as and when required
- Primary ownership of all Treasury payment systems, including an annual review of all users on the systems to ensure accesses are in line with specific job requirements
- Primary ownership of all banking mandates across the Group, including local bank accounts, to ensure that they are kept up to date and are in line with approved group policies
- To assist with all bank account documentation as required, such as initial or ongoing KYC requirements
- To provide support to the Assistant Treasurer in opening or closing group bank accounts in a timely manner as required
- To identify any Treasury Operations process gaps and help improve Treasury processes
- To assist in the management of the Group’s FX exposures including forecasting and reporting of FX exposures
- Responsibility for accurate reporting of intra-group lending in the TMS and for all supporting documentation including monthly monitoring and reporting of all intra-group loans and deposits against the documented facility limits
- To help Assistant Treasurer prepare and improve monthly management reporting for Treasury as required, including preparing the month end cash parts of the report
- Working with external and internal auditors to provide answers to any Treasury requests narrative or analysis required
- Primary owner of the Treasury Operations Manual and for keeping this up to date with the support of other members of the Treasury team
- Maintenance of the Group’s banking relationships for cash management and FX trading
- Provide strong banking support to the Inmarsat Finance teams and business units, such as helping to resolve banking queries
- To develop strong partnerships between Treasury and the business units and other Group Finance Teams, such as AP and central payments, to ensure smooth day-to-day treasury operations
- Provide analytical and Treasury support on a variety of ad-hoc business and Treasury projects, as required
