Role
Who you are
- We are looking for a hands-on, practical team member who will be ready to support and improve the company’s operations as we achieve our strategic goals
- BSc/MSc (or equivalent) in Engineering/Business/Economics/Finance or any related degree
- 3-7 years experience working in operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment such as start-up/scale-up, consulting, trading firm or similar.
- Strong problem-solving and project-management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - the role requires a lot of interaction with various teams and external stakeholders, and it is very important to be able to communicate effectively with them
- Willingness, aptitude and curiosity to understand the fundamentals of blockchain technologies, algorithmic trading and liquidity provision
- Experience with MS Office, Google Suite, CRM (eg Hubspot or Salesforce)
Desirable
- Professional experience working in a similar role in either a crypto or a fintech firm
- Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL) and scripting languages (e.g. Python)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI)
- Experience with events logistics (conferences, office events, etc.)
- Experience with procurement of IT Infrastructure
What the job involves
- Strategy & Operations is a team in the COO office, which leads high-impact strategic and operational initiatives that often require cross-functional coordination and management of external stakeholders
- Reporting to the Head of Strategy & Operations, the Operations Manager will help the team in the implementation and end-to-end management of business operations that will help the company scale further and achieve its business goals
- As an Operations Manager, you will have exposure to several different functional areas, including procurement, go-to-market, legal, finance, external and internal events and more
- Work with cross-functional teams in developing and implementing operational initiatives to support Wintermute's growth plans
- Partner with senior leadership across departments to ensure alignment between operational strategies and business goals
- Lead the strategic procurement process, negotiating high-value contracts for critical software, services, and infrastructure
- Manage vendor relationships and optimize corporate subscriptions (software, office tools, insurance, etc.), ensuring cost-effectiveness
- Support improvements to Wintermute's CRM, partnering with technical teams to implement automation features to enhance data quality and user experience
- Ensure consistent and accurate data capture across departments to feed into dashboards for senior management decision-making.
- Support the organization and logistics of Wintermute's participation in global conferences, fostering industry connections and brand awareness
