Who you are
- 8+ years of experience owning a revenue target in a partnerships role with a strong track record of closing enterprise-level deals
- Ability to aggressively drive new pipeline
- Understanding of both product partnerships and channel partnerships
- Consultative partnerships approach
- Interest in financial services, lending technology, and mortgage product
What the job involves
- As the Director of Partnerships, you will drive partnerships across expansion markets for our embedded finance, point-of-sale lending, and API technology. You will also spearhead product partnerships and channel partnerships to support our new suite of residential lending products
- We are launching new products at a blistering pace. To support these new products, you will explore new markets / ecosystems – including wealth management, real estate development and brokerage, property management, debt consolidation, and small business finance
- You will focus on partnerships that drive significant value to partners, their customers, and Figure’s customers. And you’ll generate meaningful revenue for Figure
- This is an individual contributor role that could grow into a management or player-coach role
- Identify potential product partners and channel partners
- Prospect to build pipeline in those markets
- Execute the full partnership process while navigating complex, enterprise-level deal dynamics
- Expand the impact of existing partnerships
- Collaborate with our product team on embedded lending, point-of-sale, and API
- Work with legal & compliance to structure partnerships with non-licensed partners

Figure handles loans and mortgaging. They are disrupting manual compensation surveys and traditional industry software with their blockchain platform, Provenance, which works as a registry, ledger, and exchange.
The company has branched from offering student loans into many products such as mortgages, personal loans, blockchain-based private credit and private investment opportunities. In 2020, they started seeking a national bank charter to simplify their business and offer better security.
The company is focusing on building blockchain-backed solutions and now offers its customers the option to leverage their cryptocurrency assets to get loans or mortgages and is one of the only companies to do so. Figure is betting heavily on the success of the $1 trillion cryptocurrency market and blockchain industry, and laid off 20% of its staff in July 2023 in preparation for an IPO bid. This IPO is targeted specifically at Figure's lending division, which saw massive growth over 2022 and 2023.
