Who you are

- Prior experience with modern cloud architectures or microservices

What the job involves
- Guild is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction to our Product Engineering team(s)
- These teams are responsible for building and maintaining the products and experiences used daily by our members, partners, and internal support organizations
- We are looking for a dynamic and seasoned leader to lead multiple squads within our Product Engineering teams
- This role goes beyond day-to-day operations, focusing on coaching and mentoring emerging leaders and managing across multiple domains
- Responsibilities include strategic planning, enhancing team efficiency, and driving innovation, while collaborating closely with Product Management, Design and other Engineering Leaders to align technology solutions with Guild's business goals
- Mentor and coach one or more teams of Engineers while helping to develop the leadership skills of emerging leaders within the teams
- Oversee multiple engineering domains, ensuring efficient resource allocation
- Assume leadership responsibilities across the entire pillar, guiding strategic direction and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional efforts and initiatives, ensuring seamless collaboration between engineering squads and other organizational pillars
- Work closely with product management and design teams to develop, define, and implement solutions that align with Guild's business objectives and address the ongoing requirements of the Engineering Team
- Build and strengthen relationships across the organization to foster a collaborative environment for addressing complex, multi-disciplinary challenges
- Ensure your team(s) are diverse in skills, facilitate access to necessary resources for their development, and help them understand how their contributions fit into the broader goals of Guild
