Role
Who you are
- Commercial experience
- You have managed end-end to sales deals of £100k+ in size, within global markets, and have generated £1m+ per annum sales
- You are accomplished in operating and selling within Global markets, Europe and US in particular
- You have demonstrated capability of developing a weighted pipeline from scratch within the SaaS B2B market
- Experience in selling eLearning and/or streamed media servers experience would be highly preferable
- You can expertly understand and can speak to customer /client needs and understand which market segments would benefit most from the product and also have higher intent to purchase
- You understand technical requirement such licencing agreements and can work with product and tech to ensure we are technically able to meet client needs
- You have an established network of c-suite and budget holders and know which events and communities are appropriate for business development
- You have in depth knowledge of the procurement cycles of budget holders
- Advanced understanding of email marketing strategies and tactics and can help develop tone of voice for B2B and B2B2C markets

- You are a skilled negotiator and comfortable leading large sales deals
- You have strong storytelling skills that bring ideas to life and have a variety of tools to present SaaS learning products, to stakeholders
- You have an adaptable style and are highly personable. You can establish rapport with c-suite and administrators alike
- You help define future product features based on effective feedback loops between functions (sales, strategy and product)

- You must comfortable being one of the first sales hire and excited by the opportunity of shaping a best-in-class team. This would suit someone who loves building out (everything in) sales from scratch and can originate their own workload and define processes
What the job involves
- The role of Sales Manager is equal parts “hunter” and “farmer”, in sales terms
- You are equally comfortable developing sales/outreach strategies that appeal to problems business are trying to solve as you are raising brand and product awareness. You can nurture trusted relationships with senior stakeholders that are grounded in commercial astuteness
- This role reports into our Chief Strategy Officer, who is located in Austin, Texas
- Developing a sales engine
- Develop a weighted and moving pipeline of global leads across B2B and B2B2C – focusing on Europe and US
- Identify potential audiences, with key strategies to engage them with key sales messaging
- Help define market segments for B2B audiences – using market research and internal data points in our CRM and dashboards to help validate
- Identify tooling and resources that will increase efficiencies and scalability within business development
- Regularly test activity with a view to continually developing sales funnel
- Converting sales pipeline
- Develop existing commercial prospects leads through to successful conversion with favourable terms for BBC Maestro
- Developing sales and marketing assets
- Develop pitch decks in collaboration with strategy team
- Share insights with marketing team that develop our marketing channel strategy towards enterprise audiences
