To make elite business education more affordable and accessible.
Section, formerly Section4, is a business management e-learning platform launched by New York University Professor, author and tech entrepreneur Scott Galloway. The company addresses the growing skills gap in the labor market, where workers cannot afford the time or cost of in-depth grad school programs.
Rather than focusing on long-term or full-time education, Section targets professionals who wish to upskill with two to three-week ‘sprint’ courses, taught by eminent professors. Since its launch, the company has delivered courses to over 20,000 students across the globe.
Although competing with big industry names like Udemy and Masterclass, Section has some interesting standouts in their demographics - with managers, directors, and executives at companies like Airbnb, Coca-Cola, and Netflix having all enrolled. In fact, over half of the Fortune 100 is represented in their alumni. The company's niche approach, in an industry that’s set to be worth over $660 billion by 2027, has generated both investment and interest that should help fuel its success into the future.
