What the job involves
- As a Senior Product Designer you will design innovative and usable design solutions that address our customer needs and desires, while meeting our business objectives and technology constraints.

- Lead the creation and refinement of user interfaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional
- Solve complex UX challenges using interaction design and prototyping tools
- Contribute to a living design system with other designers
- Collaborate with the design team leadership to drive vision and strategy
- Work closely with customer insights and business intelligence to deepen our understanding of Omio customers, their behaviours and mental models
- Be part of a cross-functional team designing solutions for web, iOS and Android apps, and emerging platforms
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers in ideating new products and services that support the designated product area to achieve their key objectives
- Mentor less experienced designers, fostering a collaborative team environment and sharing advanced design knowledge and practices
Our take
The internet has made traveling extremely easy in comparison to the past, with information on most public transport methods and routes being available online. Despite this abundance of information, complex trips often require research and fare comparison across many different websites, a process that calls for a more integrated solution.
Omio provides a universal travel comparison tool for trains, buses, flights, ferries, and airport transfers across over 1,000 worldwide travel partners. Whilst there are many existing comparison platforms for specific transport methods such as Skyscanner for flights and TheTrainLine for buses, Omio has taken a unique approach by providing information on all major public transport methods within an integrated app. Furthermore, the company’s inspiration magazine The Window Seat and mobile application contribute towards an end-to-end travel assistant that stands out from competitors.
Not too long ago, the company raised series E funding that is being put towards reviving global expansion activities that had temporarily been put on hold, including through strategic mergers and acquisitions. Whilst it has re-approached earlier expansion plans, the company is doing so with greater discipline.
