Who you are

Experience with AI or robotics isn’t required; we’re looking for experienced engineers ready to make a tangible impact in the AI robotics revolution
If you're excited about building scalable systems and want to transition into the AI/robotics space, we’d love to hear from you
Have 5+ years of software engineering experience, DevOps or ML Ops experience is a plus
Proven track record with data pipelines and distributed systems
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
Interest in ML/AI infrastructure (deep ML expertise not required)

What the job involves

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and scale our infrastructure supporting AI development and deployment
This is an exciting opportunity to apply distributed systems and DevOps expertise to cutting-edge AI/ML applications
While deep ML expertise isn't required, you'll work closely with our ML team to build the systems that power our AI development pipeline
Design and implement scalable infrastructure for our AI deployment pipeline:
Build and maintain distributed compute clusters
Optimize resource allocation and automate AI deployment workflows
Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for AI models
Scale our cloud infrastructure with a focus on:
Distributed GPU training coordination and synchronization
Data compression and streaming solutions for high-bandwidth sensor data
Optimize costs across cloud providers
Design and implement observability systems to:
Monitor system health and resource utilization for training jobs
Automatically detect and diagnose infrastructure issues
Collaborate with ML engineers to understand and address infrastructure needs

Our take

In recent years, the field of robotics has brought to life ideas that once belonged to the world of sci-fi. But, robots are still extremely complex to program, making the automations they facilitate out of reach for many businesses.

Standard Bots is setting out to change this, with AI-powered robots and a complementary robotics platform that means they can be programmed through simple demonstrations. This approach should broaden the accessibility of robots to businesses of all sizes, enabling them to employ automations that can give them a competitive edge.
