Who you are
- This role is perfect for former engineers, product managers, and technical founders who combine deep technical expertise with strategic business acumen to deliver transformational outcomes
- You have 6+ years of experience in roles involving AI/ML software implementation, technical leadership, or product management
- You have hands-on experience with AI technologies and understand their practical applications and limitations
- You're proficient in programming, data analysis, and have worked with major AI frameworks (experience with Python, SQL, or other relevant languages)
- You have a track record of identifying valuable problems to solve and delivering measurable business outcomes
- You're an exceptional communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into compelling business value

- As an AI Strategy Lead, you'll be the project lead for high-impact customer engagements, working in collaboration with technical leads to drive teams focused on solving our clients' most critical problems
- Your mission is to own business outcomes, identify high-value AI opportunities, and ensure that teams create measurable value for customers
- Embed yourself in customer workflows to understand them better than the users themselves
- Identify the most valuable problems to solve with AI, focusing on initiatives with significant business impact
- Ensure high accuracy and reliability of AI implementations to achieve desired outcomes
- Take ownership and accountability for the success of the entire customer engagement
- Navigate complex enterprise data environments to identify how AI can create reliable outcomes despite real-world constraints
- Work jointly with technical leads to drive teams of engineers, data scientists, and product managers
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for AI solutions
- Design, scope, and oversee the implementation of transformative AI solutions
- Ensure seamless handoffs between discovery, implementation, and adoption phases
- Evaluate and test the latest AI models and technologies to determine their applicability to client challenges
- Demonstrate deep customer empathy and be the face of A.Team to clients
- Manage relationships from end-users to executive stakeholders
- Build authentic partnerships through a consultative approach, helping clients reimagine what's possible with AI
- Represent the customer's voice internally, surfacing pain points that drive future product improvements
- Drive user adoption of AI applications and platforms, ensuring customers realize value
- Measure and communicate business impact through well-defined metrics and KPIs
- Iterate on solutions based on user feedback and changing business requirements
- Create frameworks and playbooks to accelerate future AI implementations
Our take
A.Team’s member-only gig marketplace for what it calls “builders” – product engineers and other high-skill tech workers – allows member companies to quickly put together distributed teams. Despite only emerging from stealth mode in the second quarter of 2022, the startup has already onboarded the likes of Lyft, The Economist and Pepsico.
The company’s launch came at an opportune time. As the so-called “great resignation” opens up a world of opportunities for skilled tech workers, the global gig economy is generating more money than ever, and remote-friendly working conditions mean that rapidly formed, distributed teams are now working on more high stakes projects than ever.
A.Team has wasted no time in raising huge amounts of funding to scale and expand both its in-house team as well as its network of members. Firstminutecapital provided VC funding in 2023 so now the company is focused on keeping its standards high, from both the client and service provider perspective, as the company grows rapidly.
