Who you are
- This role requires a strong blend of technical acumen, excellent communication skills, and a passion for solving complex business challenges
- Experience: Proven experience in a pre-sales, solutions consulting, or technical consulting role, ideally in SaaS, customer experience (CX), AI, collaboration, or analytics platforms
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of cloud-based platforms, APIs, data integrations, enterprise software architectures, and security best practices
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with customer experience management, AI-driven analytics, or collaboration tools, with a proven ability to understand customer needs and align solutions accordingly
- Communication Skills: Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Problem-solving: Proven ability to analyze complex business problems and translate them into practical solutions using our platform
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Desirable
- Experience with CX platforms
- Hands-on experience with APIs, scripting, or light development for creating custom solutions
- Familiarity with modern sales methodologies like MEDDICC, Value Based Selling and Customer-Centric Selling
What the job involves
- As a Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in the sales process by working closely with the sales team and prospective customers to demonstrate the technical capabilities and business value of our solutions
- You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing tailored product demonstrations, answering in-depth technical questions, and designing solutions that address their specific needs
- Partner with Sales Teams: Collaborate closely with account executives to understand customer needs and craft compelling presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept solutions that highlight our platform’s unique value
- Customer Discovery: Lead discovery sessions with clients to understand their pain points, technical requirements, and business goals, ensuring alignment between their needs and our solution capabilities
- Solution Design: Create and tailor customized solutions that address client-specific challenges, leveraging the full capabilities of TheyDo's products
- Product Demonstrations: Develop and deliver in-depth product demonstrations, both virtual and in-person, showcasing how our platform solves key business problems
- Proof of Concept (PoC) Development: Design and lead proof of concept and pilot projects to validate technical feasibility and demonstrate ROI to potential customers
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and answer detailed product questions related to integrations, API capabilities, security protocols, scalability, and performance
- RFP/RFI Support: Assist in responding to RFPs, RFIs, and other technical documentation requests to demonstrate the competitive advantages of TheyDo's solutions
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with product management, engineering, and customer success teams to ensure alignment of product capabilities with market needs and customer feedback
- Market Awareness: Stay current on industry trends, competitive offerings, and new technologies to provide informed insights to customers and internal teams

Founded just before the remote work boom, Dutch start-up TheyDo is a software solutions company focused on data integration and customer insight analysis. It's easy to see why, throughout 2021, the company grew exponentially, and in 2022 received 1.7 million euros in seed funding from Arches Capital and InnovationQuarter.
With an evolution in how and where people work, new problems arise that companies can troubleshoot, and TheyDo has been engineering software to help create a more frictionless transition to hybrid and remote. Having already transitioned into the US from Europe, TheyDo count Johnson & Johnson as a client.
With remote work set to stay, TheyDo plans to expand its engineering department and roll out its one platform for all data needs solutions to new territories. With US and European businesses already using their platform, the hope is that they can fill a gap in other markets too.
