- BA/BS degree
- 7+ years of full cycle technical recruiting experience
- Focused experience in sourcing quality candidates using a variety of strategies and platforms
- Strong eye for talent and an excellent ability to connect candidates with the right opportunities
- A true interest in understanding technology and a passion for education
- A sense of ownership and accountability
- Excellent communication skills and ability to cultivate great relationships with stakeholders
- Innovative, highly organized, detail oriented, able to work quickly and accurately, and able to change tasks and focus easily
- Experience with Google Suite and Greenhouse or other ATS
What the job involves
- IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Recruiter to help us hire top talent for our product and design teams. As a Senior Recruiter at IXL, you will source and work closely with individual candidates across these teams
- You will work side by side with the recruiting team, hiring managers, and peers within IXL to ensure that we hire the best individuals to work toward our mission
- Partner with hiring managers and leaders across product and design teams to develop a deep understanding of hiring needs and help to strategize best recruiting efforts
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for critical reqs to include sourcing and screening candidates, conducting initial interviews, candidate management throughout the hiring process and presenting/negotiating offers
- Become an expert on IXL Learning so that you can inform candidates about our products, positions, and company culture
- Foster long-term relationships with high-caliber talent and build the best pipeline of candidates for our teams
- Maintain a seamless and efficient candidate experience that results in a positive impression of IXL Learning, regardless of the outcome
- Develop closing strategies for candidates, ensuring that they have the information they need to make the best decision
Our take
IXL Learning has been creating software solutions for education since the late 90s and claims to have more than 13 million students using its service. The personalized learning platform has grown and developed since the late 90s internet boom and become more responsive and tailored to each of its students' needs.
This evolution has been achieved through breakthroughs in analytics software as well as numerous lucrative acquisitions by IXL. These buyouts have included Rosetta Stone, one of the global leading language learning platforms, Education.com and Vocabulary.com. IXL also facilitates Wyzant, the largest tutoring network in the US, and ABCya, which has published more than 300 educational computer games.
With a vast internet network of companies under its belt, IXL is still investing in innovation in the 2020s. In 2022, it acquired Curiosity Media which is responsible for Fluencia. This Spanish language learning app uses neuroscience research to perfect the learning of the Spanish language, exemplifying how IXL has grown from a revolutionary online learning platform to a multi-pronged investor in education. That being said, it still releases its own groundbreaking products such as the IXL Math "Takeoff" platform, a personalised whole-class instruction resource for teachers.
