Role
Who you are
- Have experience in securing five and six-figure, multi-faceted and multi-year strategic corporate partnerships, to maximise the value Anthony Nolan receives from new partnerships (philanthropic, commercial & strategic).
- Understand how to successfully identify, research, engage and cultivate prospective new corporate partnerships aligned with our organisational strategy.
- Experience in building and maintaining the new business pipeline to manage partnership risk, using new business tools and processes to maximise long- and short-term income generation.
- The skills and experience to set the strategic direction and long-term KPIs for new business generation.
- Knowledge of developing partnerships with the pharmaceutical sector would be desirable, but not essential.

- We are looking for a Senior New Business Manager to join our Corporate Partnerships team
- Secure new partnerships that deliver financial & strategic value
- Working with senior stakeholders, you will broker sector leading partnerships to raise awareness of Anthony Nolan’s lifesaving work

- Utilise Anthony Nolan’s assets to generate income from across the private sector
- Lead on securing five and six-figure, multi-faceted and multi-year strategic corporate partnerships, to maximise the value Anthony Nolan receives from new partnerships (philanthropic, commercial & strategic)
- Identify, research, engage and cultivate prospective new corporate partnerships aligned to our organisational strategy
- Lead the team to build and maintain the new business pipeline to manage partnership risk, using new business tools and processes to maximise long-and short-term income generation
- Develop the strategic direction and set long-term KPIs for new business generation
- Work closely with colleagues from across the organisation to leverage assets and build strong and creative case for support, partnership proposals, pitches, and cultivation activity
- Manage significant corporate partnerships and stakeholder relationships at a senior level, influencing both internally and externally
- Produce accurate and timely reports on all activity against new business objectives within the team,(including income and KPIs), deputising for the Head of Corporate Partnerships when required
- Plan, develop, and report against all team budgets and reforecasts

Our take
Founded in 1974 to find bone marrow donors for people suffering with blood cancer, Anthony Nolan is today one of Britain's largest recruiters of stem cell donors, along with DKMS, the Welsh Blood Service and NHS Blood and Transplant. As only one in four people with blood cancer will find a compatible donor in their family, Anthony Nolan's work saves over 1,000 lives a year worldwide.
Aside from recruiting donors, Anthony Nolan conducts research through the Anthony Nolan Research Institute, with its findings reducing post-transplant complications and increasing quality of life for patients. It also maintains the UK's first dedicated cord blood bank which allows new mothers to donate their umbilical cords for research.
Despite significant advances in blood cancer tratment since Anthony Nolan's founding, there's still a critical shortage of donors, sworsened by a sharp declinesiunce 2019. To combat this, the charity is actively raising awareness of this issue and is also set to open a new stem cell donation centre at Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham to further help address the gap.
